Cheap Flights to Venice

Is there a more romantic city in the world than Venice? With its grand canals, great squares and historic buildings, Venice and its outer islands offer travellers a unique experience that can't be matched anywhere else. St. Mark's Square is the city's main gathering spot and taking a gondola ride on one of Venice's 150 canals is a must for all tourists. However, the "tourist" gondola ride isn't cheap so may we suggest you consider taking one of the "public" gondolas that cross the Grand Canal. The ride is quick and there's no singing but the experience is much the same but comes at a fraction of what the tourists are charged. While in Venice, don't forget to purchase a mask, which the city is most famous. A walk down any of the narrow streets that run off St. Mark's Square will lead you to the front door of one of the city's many mask shops. There's plenty of great accommodation here but our favourite hotel is the iconic San Clemente, which occupies one of the hundreds of out islands that ring Venice. There's over 1,500 years of history to be seen and appreciated in Venice, so one visit may not be enough.
