Currency: The Euro – 1 Euro equals $1.5 Canadian dollars
Best time to visit: April in Paris inspired a song and spring is when the French capital is at its loveliest. However, we like the early fall as well – September and October.
Getting around: The Paris Metro is one of the most extensive subway networks in the world and it’s fairly inexpensive, safe and clean.
Our favorite hotel: Hotel Lutetia (www.lutetia-paris.com) is where movie stars hang out and is located on the edge of the charming St. Germain dirtrict and close to the river Seine, the Musée d'Orsay (our favorite museum) and Notre Dame Cathedral. If money is not an issue, then the incredile Four Seasons George V (www.fourseasons.com/paris) quickly jumps to the top of our list.
Our favorite restaurant: Bad restaurants don’t last long in the culinary capital of the world, so you’re always assured of good food in Paris. However, La Brasserie du Lutetia in our favorite Paris hotel is as authentic as it gets. The seafood dishes here are made with the freshest ingredients daily.
