Boston is where American history began when Paul Revere and the rest of the disgruntled Brits living there at the time held a tea party which was heard around the world. Since then, Boston has grown into one of America’s most dynamic and fun-loving cities. The home of Harvard (right across the Charles River from downtown) Boston is one of America’s most sophisticated cities. Home to a large Italian American population, Boston serves up some of the best Italian food this side of Rome. Boston hosts over 12 million annual visitors. In fact, tourism is one of the New England city’s largest industries. Boston is also close to the playground of New England, Martha’s Vineyard from whence the famed Kennedy family – often called America’s Royal Family – have deep roots. Being on the door step of the Atlantic Ocean, there’s great seafood in Boston and we highly recommend a “lobster roll” for lunch, followed by fried clams and a bowl of New England clam ‘chowda’, as they say in New England. Close by also is the small hamlet of Plymouth, where the first American settlers landed.
Best time to visit: Boston is an all-year destination.
